Our first week: Term 1 Week 1 & 2

Our Learning Spaces
We have building our learning spaces. First we chose a room to work on, we all decided to work on the quiet writing room. We made a poster that took us about 1 day to create but when we finished it looked awesome! Lots of other people worked on other spaces, we have a games room, animation room, reading area and an art space. By Mikayla

Waitangi Day
On the Thursday of our first week we had Waitangi Day celebrations with the high school. It was awesome because some kids went fishing or flax weaving but there were lots of other activities. Laura went fishing and they nearly caught a handfish. They did catch a baby snapper but they had to put it back in the sea because it was too small. By Laura

At our Waitangi Day celebrations we had to drill shapes out of the wood. It was very hard and thats why I needed a lot of help. I finished it with wood tools but there is a bit left to do. It still looks like a pattern. By Madeline
